Gardener
We are seeking an enthusiastic Gardener.
You will be joining a small team assisting the Head Gardener maintaining and developing the formal gardens/grounds and other areas of the estate.
Duties would include:
-
Seasonal care of the formal gardens, including the Walled Garden, Glasshouse, Orangery, formal lawns and borders
-
Garden project/restoration work
-
General garden/business unit/let estate maintenance, including mowing, weeding, strimming, hedge trimming, leaf collection, mulching and pruning
-
Dealing with seasonal changes
-
Maintaining walkways, verges and driveways
-
Assisting other members of the outdoor team on the estate
-
Occasionally helping out with duties other than gardening
-
Use and maintenance of garden machinery
The ideal candidate:
-
Horticultural experience, RHS Level 2, or willingness to learn
-
Self-motivated, interest in gardens and horticulture
-
Organised, with excellent time management
-
Enthusiastic, friendly and a team player
-
Experience with garden machinery and tools
-
Assist with garden projects
-
Work in a clean and tidy way
-
References, full clean driving licence

We are seeking an enthusiastic Gardener to join our small team, working alongside the Head Gardener to help maintain and further develop the formal gardens, grounds, and wider estate
on a beautiful private country estate.
Duties would include:

Seasonal care of the formal gardens, including the Walled Garden, Glasshouse, Orangery, formal lawns, and borders

Supporting garden development projects and restoration work
-
General estate and garden maintenance, such as mowing, weeding, strimming, hedge trimming, leaf collection, mulching, and pruning
-
Adapting to seasonal requirements and maintaining high standards year-round
-
Keeping walkways, verges, and driveways tidy and well-presented
-
Assisting other members of the estate’s outdoor team when required
-
Occasionally helping with duties outside of gardening
-
Safe use and routine maintenance of garden machinery
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Previous horticultural experience (RHS Level 2 qualification desirable, or willingness to train and learn)
-
A genuine interest in gardens, plants, and horticulture
-
Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage time effectively
-
Enthusiastic, friendly, and a good team player
-
Confident in using and maintaining garden machinery and tools
-
Able to contribute to projects and maintain a tidy, well-ordered working environment
-
Holds a full, clean driving licence and can provide references
