BARNSLEY PARK ESTATE PRIVACY POLICY

This privacy policy sets out how Barnsley Park Estate (“BPE” or “we” or “us”) uses and processes information collected from our website (www.barnsleypark.co.uk) (the “Website”). The General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679 EU) (“GDPR”), which came into effect on 25 May 2018, requires us to notify you of the information contained in this notice.

The following is the information required by GDPR:

  • the data controller is BPE and the named contact is the Estate Manager, whose email address is barnsleyparkoffice@gmail.com and whose telephone number is 01285 740148;
  • personal data is data about an individual from which that person can be directly or indirectly identified;
  • we may collect and process the following personal data about you:
    • first and last name;
    • email address;
    • telephone number;

this information is obtained from you when you complete the “Contact Us” form on the Website and will only be used to contact you about the property or matter in which you have expressed an interest;

  • any personal data that we collect will be kept and processed for on the grounds of our legitimate interest and for normal business purposes. The information we hold and process will be used for our management and administrative use only. If you become a BPE tenant, we shall keep and use the information to enable us to run the business and manage our relationship with you effectively, lawfully and appropriately, in accordance with the separate privacy notice which will be provided to you before your tenancy starts;
  • we will only keep your personal information for as long as it is needed to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected and processed. Information obtained from the “Contact Us” form will be kept for no longer than 12 months unless you specifically request us to keep your information for a longer period;
  • we will not sell your personal data;
  • we do not intend to transfer the data outside the European Economic Area;
  • you have the right to request from BPE access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data; to request restriction of processing; or to object to processing and, in certain circumstances, the right to data portability;
  • you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the Information Commissioners’ Office, if you believe that we have not complied with the requirements of GDPR with regard to your personal data.

We may need to change this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on the Website and we recommend reviewing it on a regular basis.
